Dude, i'm poor russian student and i realy know what does this video means. I have no enough money to buy needed equipment but i never give up and never lose heart.
This year i bought chineese ultrabudgetary laptop (350$), sound card(35$), and smartphone explay(120$). I have not asked for help. I just worked hard as now.
Your animation level is greatly grow up but it is not enough to attract investors.
Why i think so? Ok, i will be honest. Just ask yourself: "If i have a money will i pay for such work to someone else?"
I already answered myself and found that my animations and games are not cool. I can send to you some exsamples in PM if you want to confirm my words.

I think that it you shoud try to draw background in paint.net or photoshop .

White sky looks like empty space. That is not cool.
Don't forget about shadows.
